This year, Science Literacy Week takes place from September 19 to 25. This is a Canada-wide celebration of science with each year having a different theme. This year’s theme is Mathematics. If you want to learn more about events happening across Canada (in-person and online), be sure to check this event listing. Events are organized by age group, location, and organization.
As part of @scilitweek, multiple UBC Library branches have coordinated book displays related to Mathematics. Be sure to drop by DLAM as well as other branches to check out their displays. We have also created a research guide with curated book recommendations. Some of our David Lam books include titles such as Business Math, Survival Math for Marketers, The Quants: how a new breed of math whizzes conquered Wall Street and nearly destroyed it, and The Ten Equations That Rule the World.
