Faculty and Staff picks

Ever wonder what your favorite prof is reading? Check out our new faculty and staff picks display at the David Lam Library! You will find titles such as Playing to Win: How Strategy Really Works (recommended by Prof. Darren Dahl); The Selfish Gene (recommended by Prof. Kin Lo);  The Life You Can Save: How to Do Your Part to End World Poverty (recommended by Prof. Dave Hardisty);  Ego is the Enemy (recommended by Prof. Michael Daniels); and Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity and Poverty (recommended by Prof. Thomas W. Ross).

Sauder staff recommendations include titles such as The Future of Professions (recommended by Chris Gorczynski); Designing Your Life (recommended by Colin Dodds); and Man’s search for meaning (recommended by Martina Valkovicova).

In addition to asking Sauder Faculty and staff to provide a list of their favorite books, UBC Library employees were also invited to provide suggestions. Some of their suggestions include titles such as Now Discover Your Strengths (recommended by Melody Burton), and The Dynamic Introvert: Leading Quietly with Passion and Purpose (recommended by Aleteia Greenwood).

Be sure to stop by the library and borrow one of these recommended titles. You will find beautifully-designed bookmarks created by David Lam Library’s Elizabeth Stevenson which let you know whether the item was recommended by Sauder Faculty, Staff, or Library employees.
