Title: CLC Coach-In
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 16
Location: Bruce R. Birmingham Undergraduate Centre
As the weather cools down, the academic pressure heats up! Join us at our first ever Coach-in to access all of the CLC’s academic, communications, and professional programming in one convenient location!
The CLC Coach-in brings academic support programming to UBC Sauder students during a high pressure point in the term. Midterms are well underway, and study space is at a premium. By offering all co-curricular academic programming at the same time, in one convenient and central location, students have the opportunity to work on their assignments, study individually or in small groups, and access programming that they may otherwise feel that they are too busy to attend. This event will offer drop in conversations with academic and communications coaches, mini Peer Assisted Study Sessions, Communications Workshops, a silent study zone, research help, healthy snacks, and more.
– Academic Success Coaches, Writing Coaches, Excel Coaches, Math Coaches, and Research Librarians will be present for drop-in academic support.
– Peer Assisted Study Session Leaders will be running 20-minute mini sessions on study strategies (open to all students) and single-topic review for the upcoming COMM 290 midterm.
– Digital Media Lab Assistants and Wayne Dean Investment & Analysis Centre Assistants will be available to consult on upcoming class/personal projects.
See you there!
