Meet Canadian shoe designer John Fluevog on January 8th

By irena trebic on January 7, 2020

As part of UBC Library’s exhibition “50 Years of Sole: A History of Fluevog: Honouring a Vancouver Icon,” presented by The David Lam Management Research Library and Canaccord Learning Commons, Rare Books and Special Collections, and the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at UBC Library, we are delighted to invite you to meet John Fluevog on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 between 12:30pm and 2pm in the foyer of UBC Library’s Irving K. Barber Learning Centre (Level 2).

You will have a chance to meet John Fluevog in person, fresh from his successful North American book tour. You can congratulate him on 50 years in the business, let him know how much his shoes mean to you, and ask him to sign your copy of: Fluevog: 50 years of unique soles for unique souls. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

For more information about the event, check out this post. Although David Lam Library’s exhibition was taken down on December 24th, you can still participate in the mood board activity and view the exhibitions at Irving K. Barber Learning Centre and  Rare Books and Special Collections, until January 12, 2020. For more information about the exhibit we had at David Lam Library, please check out the Fluevog Shoes research guide.
